Office is aware, the Naval Authorities at Hong Kong have no call-signals available for allocation to merchant ships.
With ref. to Mr (now Viscount) Harcourt's misc. despatch of the 25 April (40) 1910, it has been possible to transmit to you a copy of a letter Hr. Immens 2074/21 from the A.G.O. with regard to the allocation of call signals.
I have to inform you that the groups at the disposal of the Marine Department for allotment to Colonial ships are required for the series of international signals which are used in connection with licences for wireless telegraphy in respect of ships.
